Ruth Ransdell-Assistant Principal

My name is Ruth Ransdell and I am excited to be joining the Mays family as assistant principal! I look forward to supporting our students, teachers, and families as we learn and grow together.

During my 26 years in education, I have had the pleasure of teaching all grades, Kindergarten through 5th grade, as well as Montessori and ESOL. For the past five years, I have been a Literacy Coach.

I graduated from the University of Colorado with degrees in Psychology and Elementary Education. I went on to earn a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from New Mexico Highlands University. I also obtained a Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Clemson University.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three adult sons and their families. We have two adorable grandsons and one precious granddaughter.
