My name is Tiara Watson and I'm extending a warm Mays Rays welcome from Dr. Benjamin E. Mays  Elementary!  I am honored and excited to serve as Principal during the 2024-25 school year.  I am going into my 6th year as Principal of this amazing school.  While holding the position of principal, we have accomplished great feats.  In the 2021-2022 school year, we received the Palmetto Gold Award for our SC Ready Scores, and in the 2022-2023 school year, we received the Palmetto Silver. Our theme for the school year is: " Mays is out of this World!" Each day we continue to strive for excellence. 

The Dr. Benjamin E. Mays Elementary Family strives to empower all children to light the way for the future by becoming lifelong learners and forward thinkers.
