About Mays Elementary

Dr. Benjamin E. Mays Elementary is a school that consists of approximately 670 Mays Rays. Our school was renamed after the Greenwood Native and Civil Rights Pioneer Dr. Benjamin Elijah Mays. Dr. Mays was the President of Morehouse College and also the Spiritual Mentor to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

At Mays, we are a family of leaders and learners. We teach our students to SHINE within and outside their school community!
